Abstract

Intelligent Digital Enterprises represent a new generation of organizations that use advanced digital technologies to improve efficiency, innovation, and decision-making. This chapter explores how technology convergence—the integration of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and the Internet of Things—enables enterprises to become more adaptive, data-driven, and customer-focused. It explains the evolution and key characteristics of intelligent digital enterprises and highlights the role of converged technologies in transforming business models and operations. The chapter also discusses major applications across industries such as retail, healthcare, banking, and manufacturing, along with the challenges related to security, integration, and ethics. Finally, it outlines future trends and the way forward for enterprises in a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem
